Our family’s journey began in Minnesota when great-great-grandparents immigrated from Luxembourg and set up the original store in 1895. These folks were already master cabinetmakers before arriving in the New World and through hard work and determination, they gradually saved enough money to purchase property and open a small furniture store.<\/p>

Since those humble beginnings<\/a>, Ackerman & Sons has remained dedicated to upholding the highest standards of craftsmanship and customer service. This dedication has helped our business expand significantly over the years from a single small shop in Minneapolis to include locations in Chicago and Denver. Today, the Ackerman name is widely respected across the country for our quality craftsmanship and integrity in furniture restoration, refinishing, upholstery, and repair work.
